Poor diet and lack of exercise put today’s children at greater risk for heart disease, diabetes, and cancer later in life. A foundation for healthy eating is needed to lessen the risk for chronic diseases. These classes highlights the positives of the four food groups (whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables) in the Power Plate. This is a nutrition and cooking camp where kids will learn to cook some healthy recipes in each class. All recipes are vegetarian-vegan friendly. CLASS TOPICS:  Breakfasts, Snacks, Rainbow Lunches, Dinners. A consent form is required and is available at the time of the event.
